Operation:

• Material to be ground is conveyed from the hopper by the variable speed screw feed or rotary airlock valve into the grinding chamber.
• The grinding occurs when product meets rotating disc along with the hammers and Multiple Deflector liner.
• The reduced or fine particles passing through VFD adjustable air classifier wheel are carried upward by the air flow with the help of centrifugal fan.
• Product is collected from High efficiency Pulsaire Jet Product Collector through the below rotary air lock valve.
• Over size particles are carried downward by internal circulating air stream and returned to impact rotor for regrinding.
• RIECO made air classifier mill is equipped with protection device for safety operation. A safety switch mounted on the cover of the grinding chamber checks if the mill door is open and if yes then all drives motor cannot run until mill door is closed.

In Bulks Solids & Powder processing industry raw materials are usually big lump sizes which are difficult to process as it is. To reduce it to powder or granular particle size in the range of around 10mm, 15mm or even lesser, an equipment is a must. Our Crusher and Delumper range have been developed to address needs like this. Crusher is an equipment which crushes the big size lumps into small or desired size by using various screen sizes. They are perfectly designed to serve as pre crushers for pulverizers or as an independent crusher or other milling equipment as well.

RIECO Crushers are of double roll type. The crusher consists of an outer housing in which two shafts are installed firmly supported by heavy bearings at either end. Two opposite rows of stars and prongs are mounted on sleeves keyed to gear driven shafts, which revolves towards each other. It Is the principal action between the tips of these prongs that reduce the lumps to a smaller size. Crushers are generally used for the medium soft lumps with less than 1% moisture for use of certain materials. Breaker bars may be installed under the rolls for further reduction.

All units are normally equipped with adequate HP motors and suitable size gear box. The drive consists of chain & Sprocket. Mounted below the crusher jaws on each unit is a large perforated screen designed to prevent oversized material lump from passing out of the crusher. Various screen sizes are used to maintain desired output.

Any crusher can be furnished with a manual re-ser friction clutch mounted on the drive shaft adjustable to wide range of torque capacities. This drive automatically disengages the roller shaft.

RIECO Air Classifier Mill (ACM) is an air classifying mill with integrated grinding, classifying, conveying, and collecting operations for achieving ultra-fine grinding (up to 2 micron*) depending upon the nature of the product.

Air classifying Mill / Air classifier Mill (ACM) can be designed for grinding hygroscopic, heat sensitive and explosive materials in inert gas/ closed loop systems with dry chilled air. Our classifiers are engineered to consistently produce steep particle size distributions that are uniform and homogeneous.

Working Principle:
The material to be grinded is conveyed from the hopper to the grinding chamber by the variable feed screw mechanism. The grinding occurs when the product meets a pin or bar type rotor disc. As particles are reduced in size they are entrained by the Air stream which enters below the rotor and are carried up between the inner wall and shroud ring with baffles, the particles are then deflected by an air dispersion ring to the separator assembly. Acceptable product is drawn through the exhaust and is collected by a high efficiency bag filter. Oversize particles are carried downward by internal circulating air stream and return to Rotor for additional grinding.

Safety:

• All RIECO ACM mills are equipped with protection devices for safe operation. These measures include a safety switch on the cover of the grinding chamber. It is thereby ensured that the drive motors cannot be switched ‘ON’ when the grinding chamber cover is open

Hammer Mill is designed for grinding by impact action, sieving, and collecting various materials. It comes with the provision for collection of the material either at the bottom by gravity or by Pulsaire Jet Product Collector with dust free operation. It can grind any material upto 45-75 micron depending upon the physical & chemical properties of the product. Hammer Mill is designed for grinding free flowing, non-hygroscopic, non-heat sensitive and explosive materials to produce consistent particle size distribution. Working Principle:
Hammer mills consist of series of hammers (usually four or more) hinged on a central shaft and enclosed within a rigid metal case. It produces size reduction by impact. The materials to be grounded is struck by the hammers or beaters rotating at high speed inside the grinding chamber.

Gravity collection at the bottom of the mill can be provided. Optional arrangement of collecting product at Pulse Jet Dust collector can also be provided.

Product Details:

The material to milled is led out of the feed hopper by a mechanical feed dosing device into the feed inlet or suction spout of the mill. The rate of feed needs to be controlled for ensuring a uniform trickle feed so that uniform milled product is obtained without blocking or overloading the mill. Suitable controls are provided with the mill.

In the feed inlet of the mill a strong permanent magnet can be provided to catch hold of any ferrous tramp matter. The feed material mixed with a quantity of air aspirated by the running of the mill rotor, enters the milling chamber near the central axis of the rotor. The material is hurled vigorously outwards toward the periphery of the rotor by centrifugal force and progressively reduced in size by the milling rotor till it reaches the circumferential sieve ring. After passing the sieve ring the milled powder has to be separated from the accompanying air.

The degree of fineness achieved will depend on the nature of product, type rotor and the sieve ring fitted. It is also influenced by rate of feed, the quantity of air sucked into the mill with the feed and the peripheral speed of the rotor.

Product Details:

Phenol Formaldehyde Resins are prepared in special reaction vessels called kettles by reaction of phenol with formaldehyde in the presence of acidic or base catalyst at 120 °C. The product formed is liquid Phenol-formaldehyde, which is then collected, and air cooled in large trays beneath the kettles, thus the product obtained is rigid and brittle. This rigid product solidifies throughout the trays and needs to be broken manually. Further, we offer solutions for handling and fine grinding of dry phenolic resins.

Dry phenolic resins of 4-10 inches can be pre-cut in Heavy duty crusher to the size of 5mm and less with capacity a range from 500-2000 Kg/hr. Further, these pre-cut resins are formulated with hardener, binder, and fillers in our high efficiency pre-blenders (Ribbon blender) for homogenous mixing. Ribbon blenders are designed to achieve maximum efficiency at minimum power consumption. These homogenous mixtures are transferred further for fine grinding to the Air Classifying Mill (ACM). ACM helps in achieving uniform particle granulation with narrow bandwidth which is most suitable for phenolic resin application. ACM can be provided with Heat exchanger system for cool grinding to take care of the hygroscopic and heat sensitive nature of fine phenolic resin powder. ACM intakes feed size of 3-7 mm & less and delivers output fineness of 99% pass 200 MESH BSS. The fine grounded product is pneumatically conveyed to the product collection system (High efficiency Bag Filter) ensuring dust-free operation complying to stringent pollution norms. The material is discharged and blended into the Ribbon blender for post-blending for making uniform and homogeneous batch. We can offer packing solution for bulk bag packing as a part of our customized turnkey solution.
